Winehouse husband pleads guilty to brawl charges

LONDON (Reuters) - The husband of singer Amy Winehouse has pleaded guilty to charges related to a 2006 pub brawl.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, admitted committing grievous bodily harm on a pub landlord and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

The guilty pleas could be reported on Monday after judge David Radford lifted reporting restrictions on the case, an official at Snaresbrook Crown Court, east London said.

Winehouse, 24, and Fielder-Civil, both from north London, married in May, 2007, in Miami, and in the following months were followed by paparazzi and appeared regularly in Britain's tabloid newspapers.

Fielder-Civil, a one-time music video assistant, has spent much of his first year of marriage behind bars, having been remanded in custody ahead of his trial which had been due to begin this month before his guilty pleas.

Winehouse appeared in court last week to support Fielder-Civil, who had been attending lengthy pre-trial hearings.

Formed in 1986 by Claude S. with two friends, Dania Morales and Paul Rijnders, the New Jersey trio Anything Box took their call from the form of address of a book of scant stories. The behave gestural with Epic and released their debut album, Peace, in 1990, notching a hit with the upbeat "Living in Oblivion." The call crossed over from clubs and managed to climb onto the pop charts (reaching a less-than-dizzying number 65). They returned a year later with the Gareth Jones-produced Worth. Although it failed to raise whatsoever mainstream hits, "Man Without Love" managed to receive attention from alternative stations of the Cross and "Beat of Life" was a success in clubs. 1993's Hope was also neglected by more mainstream outlets but, once again, institute more favor among the terpsichore crowd with cuts like "Answer Me," "Every Single Day," and "Where Is Love & Happiness." The banding was temporarily on hiatus in the mid-'90s as Claude S. recorded a solo album, Pageboy One, under the cognomen of the Diary. When they reunited with Elektrodelica (sans Morales) in 1999, Anything Box continued to comprise more and more influences into their electronic pop framework with their to the highest degree data-based cause even. Recovered followed a year afterward.

Britney Spears - Rotem Britneys Back

The young music mogul who was caught up in a BRITNEY SPEARS baby scandal last year (07) has lured the pop star back to the studio.

Producer J.R. Rotem has teamed up with hitmaker Sean Garrett to help the pop star make a start on a comeback album.

And he insists Spears is back at her best after a crazy 2007 ended with hospitalisations for a bipolar disorder, custody battles and career issues.

He says, "She's great. She's like a master at what she does. She's a lot more experienced than most people. She just has the 'it' factor that not every artist has.

"It's always nice to work with her."

Rotem briefly dated Spears last year (07) and hit the headlines when he suggested the pop star might be pregnant in a stray text message.

A source close to Spears confirms the singer is working on the "experimental stages" of a new album - the follow-up to Blackout, which was released in October (07).

And Garrett tells People magazine, "I'm just happy to see her back and recovering. She's really shaping up and getting her whole situation back together. I'm really proud and happy to see her."

Sean Combs - Diddy Blasts Edmonds Romance Reports

LATEST: SEAN COMBS has put to rest speculation he is romancing EDDIE MURPHY's ex-wife TRACEY EDMONDS, insisting there is "nothing" between the two of them.

After British newspaper The Daily Mirror printed an alleged quote from Edmonds, referring to Diddy as "the man for me," a spokesperson was quick to refute any romantic link between the 41-year-old movie executive and the hip-hop star.

And now the rapper himself has come forward to put an end to the reports.

He says: "There's nothing between me and Tracey - and Eddie and I are old friends."

Edmonds split from Murphy in January (08), just weeks after they wed in Bora Bora on New Year's Day.

Diddy split from on-off girlfriend Kim Porter, the mother of his baby twin girls, last year (08). The couple has recently been romantically linked again.

Phil Vassar connects with 'Common Man'

Country artist Phil Vassar [ tickets ] talks like he performs: smooth yet energetic, engaging and thoughtful. At the time of an interview with LiveDaily, Vassar is in a recording studio working on a dance mix of his song "Baby Rocks." He intermittently talks on the phone with an interviewer and goofs around with his bandmates, who are anxious to give the song a spin."I've never done a dance mix before," Vassar said. "It's going to be great. There's a lot of country nightclubs. They like to dance, so we're going to do a dance mix. I love the song anyway. It's a lot of fun and a lot of people like it. It's kind of fun to do that every once in awhile. It's something different."Last year, Vassar and his band opened their shows with "Baby Rocks" and it went over really well, he said. Now, new songs from his latest album, "Prayer of a Common Man," are sprinkled around it. Songs including "My Chevrolet," "I Would" and "Let Me Love You Tonight" are among those in the running for the next single. "I hope they all get to see the light of day," Vassar said. "You're always thinking, 'Good grief. What's going to be next?'"All artists should have such trouble. "Prayer of a Common Man" is Vassar's first for Universal South, a label, he said, gave him the freedom of a new act. "It's been so incredible," he said about his tenure with the label. "We've had the best time just getting to make a record again that I just wanted to make. They said, 'Go make an album and bring it back.' I haven't been able to do that since my very first record." "Prayer of a Common Man" was a long time in the making. Vassar already was road testing tracks off of it at 2007's Country Thunder festival in Florence, AZ. "Some of the songs that we were playing last year didn't even make the record," he said. "Live, you're always trying to see what goes over well." He's planning on including some of the songs that didn't make it onto "Prayer" on a future album. "I think we've got three or four songs that are definitely going to be on the next album," he said. "I don't have as much time to write as I used to. Every two years, I have to come up with 20 or 30 songs and decide, 'Oh my God, which ones am I going to cut?'"It's always so hard. Then you cut them and you say, 'Oh my gosh, which ones are going to go on the record? Which ones are going to be the single?' It's always a long chain of events. It's crazy."

Angie has a Jolie cringy past

ANGIE, Angie, Angie... what's this little skeleton you've been hiding in the
closet?

We may know her as an achingly cool A-lister, but ANGELINA JOLIE is
shaping up to have a seriously cringy rise to fame.

The stunning actress hasn't always been able to demand millions for a movie -
and clung to the career ladder by starring in this racy music video while
snogging a string of greasy blokes.
To see Angie in action, watch our video below:
Just last month we unveiled pictures of the Girl, Interrupted star posing in
very little as a celebrity-hungry 16-year-old model.
For more sexy - but hilarious - pics, see our slideshow below:
In the video the Oscar-winner swans about seductively, kissing a multitude of
men who all look like they've walked out of a Next catalogue from the 90s.

In one scene she dances provocatively around a fire, while cheesy-listening
singer ANTONELLO VENDITTI belts out a sickly Italian version of CROWDED
HOUSE’s Don’t Dream It’s Over.
I'm sure JENNIFER ANISTON will have a good cackle when she sees this.
